PEFC Chain of Custody
Certification

Providing assurance that forest products come from sustainably managed forests.

Overview

Internationally recognised certification

PEFC Chain of Custody (CoC) certification provides independently verified assurance that the wood contained in a product originates from well-managed forests.

PEFC CoC certification is required to use the PEFC claim and label, which is globally recognised and synonymous with sustainable forest products like paper, packaging and furniture.

PEFC Chain of Custody certification is complementary to PEFC Sustainable Forest Management certification, which certifies forests that are managed with stringent environmental, social and economic requirements. This opens doors as PEFC fulfils many public and private procurement policies.

All entities in the supply chain must be certified, maintaining a complete, unbroken chain of custody of certified products from forest to shelf.

If you manufacture, process, trade or sell timber or timber-based products, this is for you.
